This is the document which was talked about during the June AAC meeting, as well as other committees once it passed through Consent at the board level.

During the break, we built a specific Code of Conduct for Advisory bodies page which goes in to details on what this is, the item we didn't hear, and the Code itself.

I am not a lawyer, and I don't intend to understand everything that may be in it, and some may not apply to the things I'm involved in, however, we read it and discuss it. Most should make sense, at least that is the hope.

Today, we're going to cover the AAC meeting that took place for June 11, 2026 and lay the groundwork for the Code of Conduct for Advisory bodies discussion.

As part of the AAC meeting, we actually discussed the code, and it was advised that the code be put in to the agenda package. PSAC is already doing this.

The Jrn has created and finalized the web page for the Code of Conduct for Advisory Bodies (coca) web page so people can download the items in question. The following are available in alternate formats:

• The Board Agenda package (without attachments)
• The item that went through consent (item 21) in multiple formats including text
• the Code of Conduct for Advisory Bodies document itself

We hope that the resource is of value, and references to the code in agenda packages will be pointed to this web page instead of transcribed again.

Starting in May, we normalize things in to 4 categories:

• Fully Accessible: those rides whose internal and external are working or internal working by train
• Partial: Some things working, others may not
• Failures: Those who demonstrate complete failure
• Unknown: Those trips I could not verify due to positioning, or other variables

This could make it very interesting, because we're not talking just success VS failure rate, we have more. The unknown could come where I'm in the back of the bus, but here a stop as I'm getting off, and the back speakers not working at all. We'll come across this if it happens.

What I can say is that we know there are problems, and I want to invite people to contact me to tell me how they're doing and I'll ride along with you. Its the only way we can figure out what's happening. I won't call you a liar, you classify things differently than I do.

Well! Its time that we get the board agenda out. We put it up on our web site and we've got print and braille up, and now its the podcast time.

You can get the agenda from the board web page or our board page from jaredrimer.com which will include braille in EBAE and UEB.

A lot of this agenda is going to be contractual, and besides the CEO and chair's report, there's only one other item being heard.

Just so people know, closed session can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, maybe longer depending on the case load. Closed session is not heard in public, but they do have public comment for closed session.

Welcome to another edition of the podcast "A Day in the Life of Jared," I'm Jared.

This time, we're going to cover a very big article which we need to step through.

The article is titled Ababil of Minab claims cyberattack on LACMTA, exposing risks to rail control systems and critical transit infrastructure. This article comes to us from a new publication that was sent to me through Google, because as we discuss, Los Angeles Metro has said nothing much in regards to the whole incident. This article was written on the 15th.

In an earlier article, we talk and read the article that came out through the Los Angeles times, and you can listen and or read the transcript of the podcast titled L.A. Metro confirms Cyberattack.

Also, on my own blog, which is called "Jared's Technology Network," we decided to take apart the two articles since there are a lot of unknowns.

One article, the L.A. Times article indicates Metro has 1400 servers, but the Industrial Cyber article indicates there are 1421 servers. But the question is, do we really know how many servers, virtual or otherwise, any company has? I think the answer is "no."

Also, there are a lot of unknowns. There are scary numbers out there, but once you go through what's hype VS what is known, you'll understand what is going on.

The article is lengthy, but it is not considered a diatribe. It is breaking down what is known publicly VS what is being reported.

The blog post is titled: L.A. Metro Confirms Cyberattack as Details Remain Unclear and should be read after you consume both the L.A. Times article and the IC article.

While the goal of this podcast is not necessarily security related, there are times that this crosses and this is a great example.

L.A. Metro is not immune to cyberattacks. This is when someone who is not authorized gains access to a network.

Unfortunately, in March, this happened to Metro, and we've not learned a whole lot.

Many different committees, including several of whom I sit on as a member of the public, were asking questions and Metro did not really have any answers.

While trying to figure out how to cover this, I found an article from the L.A. Times that gives us an update on the situation, and we will be reading the article on this edition of the podcast.

The article is titled L.A. Metro confirms it was hacked. Weeks later, it’s still getting systems back online and I urge people who can to read it.

After so long, the member terms out, and they must wait one year to reapply. Several have reached this limit, but we have new members to take their place.

In no way am I saying that the ssystem is perfect, because you'll see that in February, I highlight issues with trains which I did not observe in March.

I want to hear from you, the listener. Especially if your trips are 90 percent or higher as defined by Metro's standards.

This means that the majority of trips must have things as perfect as possible. There is room for error, but 90 percent seems to be the baseline.

In March, 19 out of 38 trips had the requirements of being successful. That's a 50 percent success rate, about 40 percent failure and 10 percent of unknown value. This is because the data I'm observing could not be validated due to different factors.

Ben was born in 1945 and died in December 2025. We were notified on December 22, 2025 and the memorial was on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

The Code of Conduct is probably going to be the most controversial document I've ever read as part of being here at Metro.

While I want to stay keeping this podcast as being a positive learning program, I read a section of the code and talk about what else it has that I don't cover.

The document has been updated as of June, 2023. The Accessibility unit asked me to review the document. I've mentioned that it is a joke, but maybe there is some enforcement with recent changes discussed since this podcast's inception?

I tried to be as hands off as possible since there were a lot of disabled people who never talked to PSAC.

The way i got there was from here, to the 150 by walking. Then took the 150 to the orange line at Canoga Station and then took it to Van Nuys and Oxonard.

I had to walk north from there, and even went through a baracade of sorts as they did put a walkway through there.

We play parts of the bus ride so you can hear the AVA and what it sounds like for those who are not familiar with ours.

It is known that Los Angeles Metro is the only agency tracking this, and they have a 1.85 percent passup ratio. Can your agency say that?

We've got a first in signage I braught to the board's attention to make things better, and I'm hoping that the feedback will be of value as we work together to fix both signage that may be wrong and faded signs throughout the system no matter what it may be.
